How do I claim my venue?

To get started, go to the foursquare venue page for your business. You can find your business here:
https://foursquare.com/search. If your business is not yet in our database, you can add it by going to https://foursquare.com/add_venue.

The full URL of your venue will look like this:  
https://foursquare.com/v/foursquare-hq/4ab7e57cf964a5205f7b20e3 (that’s our office!)

*Note: If you are authorized to claim a chain of greater than 10 stores, please go to http://support.foursquare.com/entries/221733-how-can-i-claim-multiple-venues.

When on the venue page, scroll down and click on the link "Do you manage this venue? Claim here" - it will look like this:

If the screen below is the next screen you come to, please click “Continue claiming this venue” and follow the subsequent steps.


You'll be asked to specify your foursquare user ID, the URL of your venue, and to provide a link to your venue's website's contact page, or your venue's page on Yelp, Google or Citysearch. Our staff reviews this information to determine if you are authorized to claim the venue. If we can't make that determination, we may follow up with phone call to the venue. If we can't verify your claim, we'll let you know via email.
Once your claim is approved (typically 7-10 days), you'll be the manager of your venue on foursquare, and will be able to edit title and address information, view analytics and offer specials.

There are a few isolated cases where you may not be able to claim your venue automatically through the above channels (e.g. you don't have a way to receive postal mail at your venue). If you are not able to claim through the website, we can help you out via our support interface. Please open up a ticket at http://support.foursquare.com/anonymous_requests/new and make sure to put “CLAIM HELP” in the subject title.
