Foursquare pages are the best way to manage your brand and reach your customers on Foursquare.  This article will walk you through the page creation process, which is self-serve and only takes a couple of minutes.

There are 3 requirements to creating your very own Foursquare Page:

1. You must have a Foursquare user account. You can sign up for an account here if you don't already have one - https://foursquare.com/signup

2. You agree to Foursquare's Terms of Service.

3. You must have a twitter account. This will customize your page URL based on your twitter username, and will allow you to reach your twitter audience with Foursquare.

Now that you're ready to get started, please visit https://foursquare.com/create_page and follow the listed instructions.

Once you have created your Page, you will be redirected to your Page Settings page ( https://foursquare.com/settings ). From here, there are just a few more steps to complete your Page and have it be featured in the Foursquare Page Gallery:

1. Complete your Page Profile. This includes uploading your picture and banner images, writing a Page description and providing links to your other web destinations.  (Pro tip: optimal photo size is 860x130p)

2. Go to your Tools page (click “Tools” in the toolbar at the top of the screen), where you can link your facebook (optional) and add any other page managers you’d like to authorize.

3. Leave Tips at at least 5 places for the Foursquare community to discover. Do this by visiting any venue page in the foursquare.com database and typing a Tip in the "Tips" box on the left side of the Page.

Now that you’re set up with your brand page, check out this article on claiming venues so you can make the most out of Foursquare’s free merchant tools:
