How do I schedule a Special?

Scheduling Specials

As the manager of a venue, you can schedule a Special to run any time in the future. Here's how!

Setting up a Special

1. From your foursquare account that manages your venue(s), click on "Manager Tools" next to your name in the upper right.

2. Now, select the "Campaigns" tab and then the "Start a Campaign" button.

3. Select "Add a Special," choose what type of Special you'd like to run, type the Special text and fine print you want customers to see, and click "Create Special."

4. Next, select the venues where you'd like this Special to run.

5. To set a start date for your Special, click on the field titled "Set a start date for this campaign (optional)."

6. Select a date and time you'd like your Special to start.

7. To set an end date for your Special, click on the field titled "Set an end date for this campaign (optional)."

8. Select a date and time you'd like your Special to end.

9. Select "Start Campaign on [your start date]" to have your Special start on the date you stipulated.

**Note: The screenshots above reflect a campaign that will start on December 20, 2011 at 2 PM and end December 31, 2011 at 11:59 PM.**

Scheduling Specials allows you all at once to prepare your Venue to push a number of different offers to customers at different times throughout the year. It also allows you to more seamlessly integrate foursquare into you business' yearly marketing plan.
