There is currently a Foursquare special that has been created and funded by American Express to drive support for local businesses (see http://support.foursquare.com/entries/20772112-what-is-the-american... for more information).

Some users without Amex accounts may want to hide these specials, as they are not card members. To hide the Amex specials, open up your mobile app and explore nearby specials. Click on one of the Amex specials nearby, and then scroll down to the bottom and click "Hide all specials from American Express".

Note that once you've have clicked this, "Hide all specials from American Express" immediately changes to "Show all specials from American Express", so it is possible to immediately retract this decision and show all specials again. However, if you have clicked this button and then exited out of the specials screen, all of the Amex specials will be hidden in the app.

If you'd like to see these Specials again, do not fret--it is possible!

Simply visit www.foursquare.com on the web and go to your user settings. On the right side of the screen, click "Specials Partners". Here you will be able to click "Stop Hiding" for the Amex specials.
