We have controls to prevent against fake check-ins. If Foursquare thinks you're far away from where you're checking in based on where your phone thinks it is, we'll give you that message. If this is consistently happening, we won't award you points, badges, or mayorships for check-ins that don't seem legit. Make sure to only check in once where you are at the time so you won't run into this problem!
