A pending location is a Foursquare listing that you have claimed but that you have not categorized as an individual location or as part of a chain yet.  

In order to make use of our latest tools, including local updates, you will need to ensure that your locations are properly categorized as either individual locations or part of a chain.  If you haven't yet made this selection, then your locations will be marked as "pending locations" in your manager tools.
