Foursquare specials are a great way to reward your most loyal customers and attract new ones.
Specials can be created in 3 easy steps:
1) Compose your special
2) Schedule your special
3) Send an update with your special (optional, but recommended)
To get started, log in and be sure that you’re using Foursquare as your business. Then click “Specials” in the toolbar at the top of your screen.
On this page, you can create a new special, or select one that you have already run. To run a special that’s already been created, all you have to do is click “Run this special at (your location name)”.
To get started creating a new special, just click on the green “Create a new special” button.
Once you’re on this page, you can select one of our 7 types of specials, and follow the easy steps to enter the special details. (For more information on the different types of specials you can offer, check out this article).
Please note that specials must offer something of value that is specific to Foursquare users. The kind of value, whether monetary or experiential, is up to you! Specials that don’t meet this requirement will not be approved by our team.
Once you are finished, click the green “Create special” button and you will return to the specials tab. Now, find your special and click on “Run this special at Dev’s Gym”
Next, you will schedule your special to determine when it will run. To run it right away, just select “Now” from the start date.
Then just click the “Submit” button and your special will be all set to run at the time you select! Once it’s been set, you will see the “On” button on that special.
