The new Foursquare for Business app is a tool that you can use to manage your Foursquare locations on the go. It is now available in the App Store on iPhone devices (iOS 5.0 or higher) and in Google Play on Android devices (2.1 or higher) for people already managing locations on Foursquare!
Post local updates
To post a local update, tap the pencil icon in the top right hand corner. You might also notice a blue prompt at the top that says ‘Let your customers know today’s news: Tap here to post an update’.
- You can choose to take a photo (camera icon) or choose from library (multiple photos icon)
- You can choose to post to Twitter and/or Facebook
To delete a local update, find the update in the activity stream and you’ll be able to delete updates posted to a single location. You can’t delete local updates that were posted across multiple locations.
Turn specials on and off
In the Specials tab, you can view all active and inactive specials. You can turn specials on and off by toggling the ON/OFF button. You will also be able to see how many people have viewed and unlocked the special. To create a new special, please visit foursquare.com from a computer.
View real-time stats
In the Stats tab, you’ll find: - How many overall check-ins and how many on a given day
- How many likes
- Top recent customers (in the last 60 days) and how many times they have checked into your location
Manage multiple locations
If you manage multiple locations on Foursquare, you can switch between places by clicking on the person icon in the blue bar at the top of your screen. Tap through by selecting the chain name and then the specific location.
Note: you can only manage one location at a time. If you’d like to post the same update across all of your locations, please visit foursquare.com from a computer.
