Welcome to Foursquare! This document will guide you through the steps to get started on our platform.

First, you will need to create a user account.

Visit foursquare.com and click “sign up.”

On the following page, click on “Sign up with Facebook.”

(If you don’t have a Facebook account you can sign up through email as well, but we encourage you to sign up through Facebook so that you can connect with your friends already using Foursquare!)

Follow the prompts, and in no time you’ll be on Foursquare!

Next, find or create your Foursquare business listing.

You can find your business in our database through search, here. 

If your listing isn’t on Foursquare yet, you can create it here.

Finally, claim your listing for FREE access to our manager tools!

Once you have found or created your listing, simply click “claim here” on the bottom right of the listing.



Follow the simple on-screen prompts to claim your listing. You will be able to select “instant verification” where, for a one-time one-dollar fee, you can claim your listing using your phone to begin using our manager tools right away. Or you can select “postal mail verification” where we mail you a letter with a claim code. This option is free, but may take up to one month to receive the claim code.

Once you’ve claimed your listing on Foursquare, you can get started using our FREE tools to promote your business to over 30,000,000 users and engage with your customers!
