Can I add my home or office as a Foursquare venue?

Yes, you can definitely add your home or office as a listing! However, while homes have added privacy controls, offices are just like any other listing on Foursquare.
To make sure your home venue is private to you and your friends, choose Home as the venue’s primary category. Doing this will ensure that only you and your friends can see the address on the venue page; everyone else sees a zoomed out map with no map pin (rather than the real location). If a Mayorship, badge unlock, or check-in is shared to Twitter or Facebook, the venue URL will include a map without a specific location for everyone.
Once you’ve created your home as a venue and categorized it as Home, you’ll also have the option to edit or delete it by going to its venue page at foursquare.com and clicking "Edit Venue.”
If you did not create the venue for your home, go to the venue page on the website and click “Report a Problem” for a list of flagging options. Select “Venue is my home” and choose the best description:
“I want this venue private to me and my friends” “This is my home but it is categorized as something else” “I want to remove my home from Foursquare”
If you have more information, enter it into the space provided. Then click “Submit” to complete your request! We’ll look into it as soon as we can.
