If you noticed that the venue page seems to have outdated information or someone made a mistake when adding them, don’t worry. You can be a constructive member of the Foursquare community and suggest edits on those pages with your Foursquare profile.
To edit any page please use the instructions below:
Web Editing:
- Click on "Suggest an Edit" under the place name.
- A module will appear, allowing changes to the address, website, category, hours, place details, and more.
- Please note that edits may not apply immediately for popular, claimed, or heavily-checked-in places. We value community input and want everyone to contribute.
To report an issue with a place from the web, click on "Suggest an Edit" under the place name to bring out the following module. Then select "Problem with a place?"
From here, you can let us know if the place is closed, inappropriate, a duplicate, a home, or should be marked private.
Edit through the Swarm mobile app:
- Select a place where you noticed something wrong by clicking on its link.
- You will find the three dots in the corner that allow you to suggest edits the the venue page.
- Tap 'Suggest an Edit.'
- You'll encounter the same editing options available on the web.
- Report any venue problems, such as being “closed or out of business,” “having incorrect hours,” or “not being public.”
By following these simple steps, you become an essential part of maintaining accurate and up-to-date information on Foursquare. Your edits contribute to a reliable database that enhances the experience for the entire community.
