Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- What is different about the new Places dataset and why should I care? FSQ has completely rebuilt our Places Engine, open sourced the base layer of our Places dataset, and launched new tools for Placemakers to contribute improvements to our Places data (see our latest FSQ OS Places release notes). Since these launches, we’ve rapidly accelerated the rate of contributed POI edits and updates and want to ensure you are experiencing the benefits of these improvements in your deliveries.
- Can I receive both my legacy integrated Places dataset and the new FSQ Places dataset at the same time? We can send dual deliveries of both datasets until May 31, 2025, after which the integrated Places dataset will be shut off and only the new FSQ Places dataset will be delivered moving forward.
- What type of support will I get during the migration? We encourage all customers to map out a mutual migration plan with their dedicated FSQ Customer Success Manager. This will ensure you are getting the support you need to update your ingestion process within the migration timeline.
