How do I reset my password?

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it at foursquare.com/forgot_password. This will send you an email to allow you to reset your password.

If you have not received a password reset email, the following are the possible reasons why:

  • The password reset email went to your spam folder.
  • You may have mistyped your email address when signing up for Foursquare.
  • You may not have an account on Foursquare under that email address.

If you are still unable to reset your password please send us a request and a member of our team will get back to you shortly. Please make sure to have access to the email used during your initial registration, as that is the way you would receive a link to reset your password. 

To simply change your existing password, please visit foursquare.com/settings and click on "Change password."

 

Why am I being prompted to reset my password? 

Just for security purposes, if it's been a while since your last login, you may be prompted to reset your password the next time you sign in. You would see a prompt, like the one below, appear on your screen.

Select the "Email me a link" button and you will receive an email giving you directions on how to reset your password. 

If you have signed up with a phone number, you would be prompted to text yourself a link in order to reset your password. 

Once your password has been successfully reset, you would be automatically signed back in.
